Who is qualified?

Drphoto_2  Is there much difference in the price of plasticdentures versus porcelain dentures?
Also, I'm scheduled to get my last 3 teeth removed and in the marketfor a dentist that can fit me for dentures, but am concerned over theirexperience and/or qualifications on dentures. Is there any way I cancheck up on their qualifications? I live in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Slota:  You need to interview the dentist.  Most dentists do not like making dentures.  So call around and ash for experience and to see some before and after photos.

My husband needs to have dentures put in. He's only 31 yrs of age. The dentist told him that his bone is gone, that is why is teeth are loose and needs to go. As far as his upper teeth and four front bottoms ones. Is it true that you need to have you gums back to health inorder for your dentures to hold? The dentist is telling one thing then later changes to another. We just want for him to get dentures and not have to worry about anything else. Please help.
